Create, Drive, Passion

Pic has zero to do with post; Roni on guard is pretty freaking cute though.

Some days I have so much to say and I long for this outlet.  I have a constant note page open in my phone appropriately titled "blog ideas".  While at a recent sporting event, I was definitely in the moment and rooting for our beloved OC Lions, but I also found myself eager to write and felt a surge for doing so.  Ideas were coming to me left and right and back to center again, almost in sync with the movement happening in front of me I suppose.  I kept thinking of grabbing my phone out and scribbling ideas because it felt like they were hitting me in rapid pace.

Since I write content for a living and am always developing material for usually an assigned purpose, I like this space being available.  I've always said this ol' blog is for me and my thoughts and I'll be, it surely is.  I think I want to either find a writing challenge or create one for myself.  Like a 30 day challenge with themes for a day.  I feel such a pull to be here and I want to act on this creative push I'm feeling, too.

Anyhow, it's a good day to have a good day so go have one!  Stay creative and driven and passionate!!

Until we meet again,
M

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Face it: Fewer things feel as good as a really great face mask. I love charcoal in particular lately and always feel refreshed and restored and ready to ‘face’ another day. See w...

Reset on a Weekend

One of my favorite things in the world is laying in bed on a weekend night watching Netflix movies while my Hunter and my Ro nap next to me and I scroll Instagram home design and wellness accounts as well. This is particularly enjoyable after an extra long week, I might add. I feel calm and giddy alike throughout this downtime. I am able to relax and unwind, often taking mindfulness breaks and enjoying a komboocha or lemon water simultaneously. It couldn’t be any more basic. This recharge makes me naturally happy creating reflection and gratefulness for everything in my life. I’m a hard worker with determination and I like to reach goals and make new ones so I feel like I’m on more than I’m not. I need to reset like this because it reiterates what it’s about most at the end of the day; health, happiness, and an attitude of gratitude. What is your approach to bring it all back to center?              ...
