Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Face it: Fewer things feel as good as a really great face mask. I love charcoal in particular lately and always feel refreshed and restored and ready to ‘face’ another day. See w...

So much to say

Sometimes I have so much to say.  I want to do it all, tell it all, and write it all!  My intentions as a writer are evolving always and I feel this surge of creativity for it lately.  Maybe it's the longer days in summertime allowing to get more than ever done in a given day.  Maybe it's the meditation I've been practicing a little more than last week.  Or it could be the Orange County public school message signs out front of them, all with the same exact summer message: "Rest.  Read.  Relax.  Enjoy your summer."  I freaking love this message. Do you do what makes your soul happy?

Live! From not New York! It's meeee from my couch! That's right. I am taking the rest of Sunday off. Please hold my messages and forward any concerns to PepperRoni Productions. Aside from blogging now, and maybe a few additional posts to be scheduled for this week, I am kicking back. I don't feel bad; I've already gone for a hearty walk, grocery shopped, and laundry is actively going. Laundry I don't mind. It's more therapeutic than daunting. This may not seem like much, but I am usually so go-go-go. Oh, this is done? Great, now you can factor in ___. How about National Relaxation Day was this past Friday for $200, Alex? Guess who could not participate, due to a little known responsibility called work? This girl. So here we are this afternoon. I shall fore go the extra scrubbing the house could stand, I will not be bathing Roni as planned, and I've got two of the good pillows from the bedroom on my couch with me. And of course my DVR goodnes...
