Let me tell ya bout...

Ohgabetta. Such a favorite term of mine. My Nana, my mom's mom, Tillie B, she was it, man. A lady in possession of class, sass, some fabulous accordion style gold & silver belts and many other stylish items and tricks I admired. We're talking about a woman who had a mind of her own, used it, and was loved by anyone she ever met. She was beautiful, inspiring and loved her people far too much. She was super smart, loyal and dedicated to her faith as well. She really was the whole deal. Nana used this term and while she never provided an exact explanation of its meaning, it is one of affection and love. Most commonly I heard her saying it when she would smuggle me into her arms kissing my head and squealing with glee. I have tried in the past to look it up and learn more about it's meaning and after not finding much, I have settled on my own meaning even further: when you love something, someone, or a passion and you are totally giddy and joyous for its existen

The Facts of My Life

Fun Stuff! Who doesn't like fun stuff? I love when bloggers do personally catered, factual posts. It's always neat to learn what similarities you may share with someone and where you differ. Also, in my case, I need a post NOT detailing the lives of my bitches aka literally my b's, the dogs. Without further ado or a woof, please allow some fun ramble about ol' MKH: 1. Saying I am an avid accessoriz-or and veryyy girly would be slightly understated. It's not uncommon someone will call and I miss said call, only to call back and apologize that this was due to me being in my closet matching and coordinating random jewelry/hair/purse/shoe bits. Just for fun by the way. I have been this way since birth. I knew how to apply lipstick by age 3 and was the only 1st grader rocking gold pinky rings and bangles with scrunch hair. 2. I have never, repeat, NEVER eaten a PB&J. Not a fan of peanut butter other than in candy randomly and didn't start to like j

Super Stuffy, Snotty Super Bowl Sunday

Awful is how I'm feeling. Thanks for asking. I feel this way because of an unexpected allergy attack. Sort of redundant; unexpected and attack are synonymous I suppose. The point is that I have not been under the weather to the extent that I am right now in a bit. It's just miserable when you are plagued by allergies. There is not much that can be done for you, you simply have to ride it out. I feel bad complaining about this 'ailment' because there are far worse health scenarios. Just having a pity party vs a super fun, super amazing, Super Bowl party. I shall survive and will breathe/taste the sweet flavor of Matzo Ball soup and a fresh, delicious petty four that the Bub got me from the Pub(lix) again. It's not like we were planning anything over the top for the Super Bowl. I was supposed to work in fact and get ready for school tomorrow. I am starting a master degree in New Media Journalism. This little setback has created an extreme lack of energy

DanceDanceDanceDanceDance

Soooo okay. Recently I have been participating in Zumba dance class. It's fun, it's exhilarating, it will kick your arse. One of the few class type things for fitness I actually really enjoy going to. Spin class is also a personal, die hard favorite but I've had trouble locating a place that offers it without full membership. Other than these two types of classes, workouts are best outside, especially living in good ol' sunny FL. Just my personal pref. I went last week for time number one with my friend from work. We had a great experience, laughed in between stumbling through the motions, sweated like maniacs and burned between 700-1000 calories just as beginners. Can I get an amen?? Is this not EVERYTHING we aim for? The correct answer here should be yes. Yes, it is. I have to say too, this is an extra notch of accomplishment for muah, seeing as how I have zero dance class affiliation. Or with rhythm. But I'll come back to this. As a kid, my mot
