Best Friends

Gang's all here: Jenny, Lizetty, Danielle, Andrea, and Izzy

I don't know if I can ever truly define my thankfulness for the people I consider to be my nearest and dearest in the friends department.

Each of my closest friends share one big commonality with me: humor.  We all laugh and share similar stances on what tickles our fancies.  Big aspect, HUGE component, to what works between us.  It typically produces tears streaming down faces quick and often.  Exactly how I adore my humor.

Now, I know everyone will say they believe their best friends are better than others and that's cool.  Best friends should believe in each other so magnificently and rave accordingly.  I simply know that the friendship I have with each of my people is the kind of stuff dreams and any good rom-com is made of.  I love each of my best friends for who they are individually and for how they motivate me just the same.

Now before I go, I leave with one final sentiment from the ultimate group of lady BFFs, spoken by my fictional BFF and yours....Ladies and Gentlemen...Ms Carrie Bradshaw:

"They say nothing lasts forever...dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style."

Preach.

Until we meet again,
M

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Face it: Fewer things feel as good as a really great face mask. I love charcoal in particular lately and always feel refreshed and restored and ready to ‘face’ another day. See w...

Simple blessings

I’m lying in bed, next to a snoring husband and my baby girl dogter sprawled out cozy as can be, while the rain falls down upon our roof. Gone are the days of spending a Saturday night downtown at a club, throwing beers back in a honky think, or galavanting around to anywhere with the lights on. And I’m not mad about it. Not even a little bit. There is tilt no place I’d rather be than with hunter, Roni and our comfy sweet little home happily netflixing and writing this here post. It’s a good feeling indeed. I count my blessings extra on nights like this and say a few additional prayers for love and comfort to continue on. I truly don’t ask for more than health, happiness, and love. Anything else is gravy. To simple blessings for all.
