Less is More

I love this list.  It's simple, direct, and inspiring and that's some of my very favorite qualities in a person or thing. I'm better at some and have a conscious room for improvement for others.  I'm pleased with my sense of gratitude often. Even on the difficult days I tend to remember how blessed I am, am thankful to have the ability to work hard, and often say little prayers of thanks throughout the day. Good on doing and tea and being active. Always working on listening more, talking less, but I'm a talker!  I don't believe it's a bad thing as long as others know I don't just hear them, but I am listening to their words when I'm not yammering on. #balance -salads/water-good -understanding-good yet aware and evolving always -trust, smiling, love-happy to share with myself and others Worrying and doubting are my trouble areas usually.  I worry far too often and too much about things out of my control, which is the issue in ...

A Catch Up Collection

Hello Lovers! I stepped away from blogging adventures due to having family in town to visit with and extra busy work commitments.  Damn it feels good to be gangsta an adult. Alas, have no fear, I have taken pics of what I've been up to in order to come back to this lil'space sharing deets.  Because if you don't live life and then blog about it, did it really even happen?  Exactly! One #ootd post , coming right up!  This would be a tale of pure luck in the regard that I got to work Thursday, looked in my planner to see what J'adore June's topic was, only to be more than prepared with my garden principessa look on deck.  I dig when that happens.  See what I did there? Next up: family visiting.  Specifically, 2 of our nephews, our only niece, and one sister in law for me, straight up sister for Hunty. This little lamb:::love sooooo big!  I was more than prepared to visit her with a bow in tow, pink nail polish on standby, and a cup...

Best Friends

Gang's all here: Jenny, Lizetty, Danielle, Andrea, and Izzy I don't know if I can ever truly define my thankfulness for the people I consider to be my nearest and dearest in the friends department. Each of my closest friends share one big commonality with me: humor.  We all laugh and share similar stances on what tickles our fancies.  Big aspect, HUGE component , to what works between us.  It typically produces tears streaming down faces quick and often.  Exactly how I adore my humor. Now, I know everyone will say they believe their best friends are better than others and that's cool.  Best friends should believe in each other so magnificently and rave accordingly.  I simply know that the friendship I have with each of my people is the kind of stuff dreams and any good ro...

Today

Oh today .  Today I went to the doctor and discovered I am battling a sinus infection. Ah yes, one of ailments finest.  I used to get these a lot but it's been a while and I almost forgot how miserable they can make a person.  Almost. It does put in perspective how thankful I am to have good health otherwise.  It is a blessing beyond words.  So today's blog is dedicated to those battling any type of illness that makes you feel less than stellar.  May you find comfort and have love to help you through. Until we meet again, M

Life is Beautiful

Whilst scrolling Instagram earlier today, I came upon this picture: Everything this says is the absolute truth. We all have our problems but really, if I threw mine in a pile with everyone else, I more than bet I would take mine back. Honestly, I believe if we all found appreciation for each others troubles, we would naturally diminish said troubles just simply by way of compassion. Just some food for thought. Speaking of.... So what is a little Friday night love fest on life's beauty without some delicious sushi? Happy weekending, muffins! Until we meet again, M

Happy New Year's Eve eve!

With another year pretty much behind us, and the renewal of my domain name for this here space on the interwbez, I am feeling all kinds of reflective. For starters, I am incredibly baffled how yet another year has come and gone so quickly. Yes, it's the same amount of time as all previous years, minus leap years, but 2014 feels like a blur. I definitely grew this year in terms of being realistic. I am a dreamer, and I long for dreams to come true. What I usually struggle with though, is the time leading up to making a dream come true. I am impatient and hasty at times, while contemplative and indecisive too. I hope to re-purpose these qualities into more productive versions of themselves during the next year. I am quite excited for 2015. I've spent time reflecting and evaluating what worked and what didn't this past year, to prepare for the new. And I believe if you can identify your own key components, you are destined for goodness. Now among so many things th...

Continued Thankfulness

I don't mind talking about Thanksgiving despite it being two weeks after it. It was one of my all time favorite holiday experiences ever. On Wednesday before the big day, I traveled to my hometown and visited with tons of family. I have a big family and it was nice to be able to catch up with almost everyone that lives there. And despite my father insisting that my MPH of 35 on the main road through town, required constant commentary and reaching for the handle bar above his head for safety, I'd say the day was a success. "Orlando Style ain't just a magazine..." -Dad, November 2014 A few glimpses of some good times: On actual Thanksgiving, Hunter and I hosted at our house. We had the perfect blend of family, friends, the yummiest of foods, cozy blankets to nestle with after too much of said foods, and beautiful Florida cold weather the entire day. We had the Macy's Day Parade playing throughout the morning as we prepared for our lovies to arrive a...

April showers bring lists of happy thoughts

I haven't posted yet this month and feel inclined to do something happy since the city of Orlando is currently experiencing an 85% chance of angel sweat. Yes, I said sweat; tears are too sad a comparison and angels work hard day and night so why wouldn't they be glistening heavily? Erin from Two Thirds Hazel comes up with really exciting link ups and one from last week as resonated with me tremendously so without further explanation I'd like to take part and present my own list of 32 Things That Make Me Happy . Ah-hem: 1. Hunter. May seem obvious, may make you gag, but I love him to the moon and back and he is by far one of the happiest parts of my life all day, every day. Even when he leaves his clothes outside of the hamper 2.5 times a day. 2. Glitter. It's my favorite color. Gold, silver, rainbow, shades of pink, the long kind, the dot kind. It's all good. 3. Cupcakes, cake pops, and coconut macaroons. Any time there is the option, there is no op...
