Ohgabetta

Over the past weekend we attended a cookie decorating party our friends hosted.   It was so much fun!   We began our extravaganza with a homemade breakfast casserole, croissants, and mimosas.   Aka, what Sundays are intended to be accompanied by. We had sugar cookies in every type of sleigh, bell, and Reindeer shape unavailable, chocolate chip, red velvet kiss cookies, grinch rise crispy treats, and homemade fudge.   Anddddd just like that I need another glass of water to counteract my sugar consumption today. This is the stuff holidays are made of.   We laughed, we hugged extra tightly with big "Merry Christmas!" wishes, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was on repeat.  #HeavenOnEarth   How are your holiday get togethers going this far?

Today has been one of those magical days. It has consisted of: -not waking up to an alarm clock, -lounging in bed with my boo visiting far and near lands via Periscope -a thorough meal planning/efficient grocery store trip -a brisk 2 mile walk -talking to one of my best girlfrans and catching up  -doing some Social Cap client work -being here at le blog -baking scrumptious cinnamon streusel muffins  -a nap momentarily ---and the Oscars are on tonight!!!!!! See?  Scrump.ticious This. This all is my happy place.  My heart is full. The Orlando City preseason game last night has also contributed to today being stellar.  It was the perfect start to what is sure to be an amazing season with a 6-1 win! This is what weekending is all about.  A chance to just be and enjoy and take in all the greatness we can. Let's meet again, M

Each of my closest friends share one big commonality with me: humor.  We all laugh and share similar stances on what tickles our fancies.  Big aspect, HUGE component , to what works between us.  It typically produces tears streaming down faces quick and often.  Exactly how I adore my humor. Ahh yesssss! Thirsty Thursday back in the day! What you can't see in this college glory days picture, is the bucket of fun juice we (lucky for all of us) split to drink. Still, I'm talking seriously a bucket , y'all. This was most likely a Thursday night, was at a piano bar, and they discounted hospitality industry employee tabs. WHAT...a good/bad idea. I so cherish pictures like this. It's fun to go back and remember the smells, sights, accessory choices. Thank the Lord for #TBT! How ever did the world live with just having drawers full of film negatives and nowhere to post them to?! This past weekend, a few of my very best and I ventured out to properly send off one of us who is to be married later this month. Insert: My beautiful Lizetty who is gettin' hitched to her Joey oh so soon (really, how DOES time fly so fast?) and I cannot wait for their celebration! It is going to be fabulous!! We had a wonderful night full of laughing, dancing, and lots of loving on our girl. Magic Mike's cousins were in town so it happened to be the perfect opportunity for me and muh ladies. Lizetty, you are seriously the kindest, funniest, prettiest little lamb I know. You deserve everything that is good and then 10 million better than that. Happy, happy Thursday my friends! May the week get on with it, and may you find yourself to Friday happy hour soon... Allow me to introduce a little adventure two of my very good lovies and I have launched recently: Tada! We started a dessert baking business! And it is so much fun already! So here's the back story: Lizette, Danielle, and I have enjoyed each others company and baked goods for many years now. We work together at our day jobs and after much discussion and excitement, we decided that 2015 was the year of sweet goodies with our label on them! Our baby is very new to this world and already oh so loved. We are passionate and pumped up to watch it grow. I also am incredibly grateful for this venture, and most importantly, for the two girls I get the privilege to call partners. Life is just too sweet sometimes. What a timely topic to write about, seeing as its Sunday, and I LOVE Sundays! They make me very happy. Lots of things make me happy though. I am so thankful to say that! For the past 2-ish months, my good friend Jenny and I have been behind the orchestration of a surprise engagement dinner for our good friend Lizette. We all have worked together the last 4-ish years and have grown to be such good friends. In my humble opinion, Lizette has got the most amazingly sharp wit in all of Orlando, and Jenny has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. These girls mean the world to me and I had the most fun ever with Jenny gallivanting to plan and secure the secret of this dinner party for Lizette. We invited her nearest and dearest family and friends and everyone did a great job keeping the surprise element of the plans. Once we all made it to the actual dinner, we got good laughs at the numerous ways 10 people almost dropped the ball when talking to Lizette at different times the last few weeks. We chose the location of Cooper's Hawk and Winery , which if I'm being honest, I'm getting closer and closer to being the joint's ambass...
