Blogmopolitan Quizzing with Two Thirds Hazel

Today is super fun around here. I am joining in with Erin at Two Thirds Hazel and linking up ! Shall we? Til we meet again, M

She designed a life she loved

I just know I'd make a wonderful stay at home writer/wife/dogmother. I just know it. So much I know, that I like to play a little game when I am off and Hunter isn't where I text him pics of my daily activities proving we would both benefit from me holding down the fort more often. Exhibits A-C Home essential runs that are actually fun because they are prior to the 5 o'clock rat race hour: Several blogs scheduled with more ideas churning: Without fail daily, I get my gusto going at 11am and feel most amped to work it out: Now, if all will excuse me, I have a fresh blueberry loaf coming hot out of the oven. My next set of convincing explanations to be continued... Happy Friday! Til we meet again, M

I've never been a millionaire but I just know I'd be darling at it

Once upon a time, a self-proclaimed accessories buff was minding her own business, working hard through the work day, when all of a sudden, there it came via the wonderful land of Twitter: a 75% off Surprise Sale from Kate Spade! The bejeweled lady became giddy with glee and happiness and reminded how all good things are made of glitter and sunshine: What I paid for these both is merely a fraction of what one cost at full price. Kate Spade, you are continuously the apple of my eye. All is great in the world. Til we meet again, M

“Opportunity does not knock, it presents itself when you beat down the door.”—Kyle Chandler

This quote is everything. Nothing compares to a hard earned accomplishment; one where you pave your own path, build up the terrain about said path, and then maintain it. I am on a high from graduating soon yes, and open to the possibilities of what's to come. Optimism is my best friend and I cannot wait to knock heartily on some doors. The hardest part to most anything is the beginning. Working out, starting a new job, a business, it's all difficult initially. But really, once the first door is opened, it's easier from there. I have so many ambitions and things I want to add to my list of doors knocked down. Out of everything learned this past year from school, I am most thankful to have learned that possibilities are endless and it really is a world where you can do anything you want, as long as you put the time in for it. Simple as that. So, in effort to keep me accountable on some goals, I am enlisting the ol'blog world's help. Here, in no particular ...

Hug harder. Laugh louder. Smile Bigger. Live Longer.

Seeing two of our nephews bond when the one visited recently was nothing short of amazing. Being only 4 months a part in age makes for a built in BF for them, endless adorableness and funny moments for the rest of us. Factor in a cool Uncle "Unter" and well, you get: A box of vanilla wafers "dropped" on the floor. Uh huh, not sure I believe it was really an accident but hey, it's cool A nap time rebel/comrade Lunch companion Support system These 3 again... ay yi yi. It's reflection on these types of moments that can bring the brightest smile ever to my face. Til we meet again my furry friends Xo

I tried to be normal once...worst 2 minutes of my life.-Bill Murray

Some things making me giddy as of late: Brunch with yummy goodness like fruit and donut hole kabobs. Baked Blueberry French Toast and a hot cup of hazelnut coffee is perfection on a Sunday morning: Our first niece(!!!!!), Elyssa: Attending a "Master Cupcake Decorating" class with Miss Holly herself from Sweet Cupcake shop. This was a birthday gift to my lovey friend Lizetty and we had so, so much fun: Boy, relieving these yummy treats all around is quite pleasant indeed. Stay sweet ya selves, toots ;)

Hurdles and Turtles

I ran into a peer of mine at school and he shared his final month's work for his thesis. His work is solid, well planned, and his passion is evident and contagious. Aside from being very inspiring, it's a light at the end of the tunnel for me. As I am in my last semester of grad school, I am eager to finish strong but also quick. I am how you say, um...oh yea. Burnt.Out. I am exhausted and tired and feeling at capacity from everything I invest myself in. As much as I want the next four months to fly by so I can regain my freedom from an academic schedule, I am also very nervous. It is put up or shut up time. It is truth or shame the devil time. Was everything worth it that I just put my hopes, determination, and sanity into? Will it pay off? Eye on the prize, Meggie. That's what my mother says to me every day. Offering her support and a good pep talk, daily she reminds me of this. She doesn't miss a beat either when I question if pursuing grad school was...

Mean What I Say

So, um. Wow. I wasn't kidding with my last post title, huh? Well, it's true. August is a cruel month. Slowly, surely you say good bye to summer's lackadaisical appeal all while Satan himself breathes right over top of the world. It is so blasted hot it's almost like your skin melts and you need sunscreen just going to the mailbox. Ugh. Labor day could not come as quick as it ultimately did. We celebrated my sister's birthday (She turned 15, I threw up a little bit saying that) we raced go-karts and called it a day. She's a really cool kid. She marches to the beat of her own drum and has a strong sense of her self and it's beautiful. I am beyond excited she is the age she is and I think this is going to be fun the next few years. School, school, school. Woof. I am so ready to finish yet I'm terrified when it will. It is going to feel so good when this is done yes, but I love school. I love to learn all that I am. I love to bitch about be...

In Tuesday We Trust It's Almost Friday

Y'all. I cannot even begin to say how much I am ready for fall. I believe it hit me halfway through my most recent edition of People Style Watch... Got me thinking about what I am ready for: animal print; there is nothing like some leopard in the heart of October to get you feeling giddy. Scarves, sweaters, maybe a purse, he possibilities are endless! I am also on the hunt currently for new bright, classy, sexy red nail polish and lip color. The sooner I find them the better. I am ready to run away and join the annual, big red tented circus folks! And boots. Now every year, many a lady can say there is the god forsaken/god loving boot hunt. It's like I'm Bootylocks and I can't find ones that are jussstt right so I search and I search and then bam! I find some boots made for walking. Or propping up on a coffee table somewhere to admire them. Honestly, is this not a fun activity for anyone else? No? Hmm, okay then. I don't have a pre-req in mind f...

"When accessorizing always take off one item before walking out the door..."

Sikeeeeee......Whoever said this? Not me! My name is Megan and I DO NOT support this message. I am not the person to ask about subtle dressing. I love a little bit too much gaudy fabness and I have never regretted wearing too many accessories. If it's wrong, I don't want to be right. Shall we proceed? Love, love, love these earrings. And the ring. And the bracelet. Hence, not a one is coming off before I leave the house! Can I get a fashion enthusiast amen??? Amennnnnnn.
