Breakfast for Dinner

Cold weather came to us early here in Florida.  I'm very much enjoying windows open, chili recipes, and scarves on my daily walk.  I got a hankering for hearty and homey and this hit the spot.  Once I got my pic out of the way, I merged this baby and enjoyed all the deliciousness bestowed upon my taste buds.

We're still adjusting to life without Pep and it's been difficult.  We're trying to equally remember and grieve but also trying to move forward gradually.  I washed her blankets yesterday and it's the things like that, her smell hitting me in full force, that knock me right off my horse.  So many people have said it doesn't get easier and at this time, I wholeheartedly agree.  Miss our girl real bad.

Hoping you all are enjoying the start of a new month with so much possibility.

This cat: Amazing company to go through life with: Food Trucks: #TBT: Laughing like this: Seeing the world through the eyes of the littlest people: Fashion: Kate Spade in particular: Family, with a highlighted focus on our generation: I feel very fortunate for what and who makes me happy. Tell me, what makes you happiest in all the land? Until we meet again, M

How I Holiday Decor

I love some holiday decor.  It's fun to mix and match consistent pieces for it and and exciting to switch out the ones that have their set calendar time.  Like my pumpkins for example.  I have a set of them that are used for spooky purposes first, then for grateful hearts right after. Let the record show exhibits ... A and A.5: Halloween goodness           Turkey Day decor   Also, let the record show further exhibits of love for Halloween decorating: B: Witch, please C: Even the tissues have monsters on them Oh and D:   Roni hates us, Pepper giggles, we take far too many pictures of this.   If you couldn't tell, my favorite time of year to decorate is for Halloween.  #givemeallthegoblins   I'm pumped to further enjoy this holiday season with high levels of gratefulness and plan to focus on love and happiness more than anything.  Happy beginning of the end of year holiday season and decorating to you and yours!   Until we me

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Face it: Fewer things feel as good as a really great face mask. I love charcoal in particular lately and always feel refreshed and restored and ready to ‘face’ another day. See w
