Selfie Sunday

J'adore June is really fun this first week in.  I love every theme of every day of the month.  No really, there isn't one I'm unsure of or not looking forward to.  But if I had to say one had me slightly thinking about it, it would be today's.


Selfies are definitely an interesting part of our current culture, no?  I believe they are here to stay too, so might as well jump join ship.

To selfies: here's to always feeling a little bit awkward, slightly self-indulgent, and personally deprecating.  Also known as welcome back to your teenage years.  Now with your own bank account and insurance deductibles.

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. Reset on a Weekend

One of my favorite things in the world is laying in bed on a weekend night watching Netflix movies while my Hunter and my Ro nap next to me and I scroll Instagram home design and wellness accounts as well. This is particularly enjoyable after an extra long week, I might add. I feel calm and giddy alike throughout this downtime. I am able to relax and unwind, often taking mindfulness breaks and enjoying a komboocha or lemon water simultaneously. It couldn’t be any more basic. This recharge makes me naturally happy creating reflection and gratefulness for everything in my life. I’m a hard worker with determination and I like to reach goals and make new ones so I feel like I’m on more than I’m not. I need to reset like this because it reiterates what it’s about most at the end of the day; health, happiness, and an attitude of gratitude.
