Little Bear Eyes

I'm gonna go out on a limb and state how adorably cute and precious our 3 nephews truly are. They are such good kids, all of them. They're polite, sweet, and yea I'll say it, the way cutest little bears ever to grace this earth. We've spent a chunk of time with our youngest nephew lately, Connor, and when I say he is the most babylicuous and amazing little person, well, I can't make this stuff up. He is coming into his own personality more each day. He is strong and tough; lovable and cuddly; determined and smart-this guy is the whole package! He also quite enjoys numerous bananas, graham crackers, ketchup, and vanilla wafers; doing what has come to be known as the Connor Shuffle; and really he wanders about with such inquisition for all things he encounters.

Hunty and I are so grateful we get to watch these babies grow and they teach us so much. More than as an aunt and an uncle but as people. Seeing life through the eyes of babes is a wonderful and fortunate opportunity.

I mean, really. This baby. That smile. I can't even handle it.

Handsome.

Those thighs. What baby thighs, hands and arms should be!

Night night little one. You are so loved!

Simple blessings

I’m lying in bed, next to a snoring husband and my baby girl dogter sprawled out cozy as can be, while the rain falls down upon our roof. Gone are the days of spending a Saturday night downtown at a club, throwing beers back in a honky think, or galavanting around to anywhere with the lights on. And I’m not mad about it. Not even a little bit. There is tilt no place I’d rather be than with hunter, Roni and our comfy sweet little home happily netflixing and writing this here post. It’s a good feeling indeed. I count my blessings extra on nights like this and say a few additional prayers for love and comfort to continue on. I truly don’t ask for more than health, happiness, and love. Anything else is gravy. To simple blessings for all.

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Face it: Fewer things feel as good as a really great face mask. I love charcoal in particular lately and always feel refreshed and restored and ready to ‘face’ another day. See w...
