The Day Andy Rooney Died

The day Andy Rooney died I imagine Poppy in Heaven. I think if all the commotion- a "big name" is coming today.
I hear Poppa-
"Tee?!"--->(Calling out to Nana with his trademark sense of urgency)

"Yes, Ralph."--->Nana(calm and sweet per her usual, arranging her perfume tray most likely)

"What the hell's all that noise?" (Pop was prob startled and woken up from "resting his eyes")

"Andy Rooney died today. He's in the elevator on his way up now."

"Who? Andy Rooney?! Ahhhh Jesus Christ. I knew him!"

He then recalls a time his path crossed with Andy or someone close to him. Poppy met some random, famous, weird, or eccentric people in his life. He had a story about each one of them too.

Poppa-today I hope you and Andy cross paths again. I hope you "shoot craps" and sit with him to watch the sun come up.

A man is not very tired. He is exhausted

I know. This is days after the initial blow of learning that this wonderful human being's life ended. What in the world. Talk about a cherished existence. The man my parents still rave about because of his stand up comedy, the man who forever changed the way I say "Hellloooooo" in an older British woman's voice, this great giant. How sad. I feel for the fact that Robin hit a level from which he could not rise. Depression, anxiety, stress are awful beasts.

I do not believe in the mentality, that someone who takes their life is selfish. Sure, it's not the kindest thing to leave behind for loved ones to cope with, but if something has it's grasp on a person, well, choices are made. It is devastating that there is still so much stigma for diseases like depression and anxiety. What?! Get the hell out of here with that mess. I would not wish it upon the biggest naysayer even to prove a point. So, to that, I say screw the assholes saying derogatory …

My dear, If at first you don't succeed, throw on another accessory & try, try again

Off to try, try again!

Anything is possible with sunshine and a little pink -Lilly Pulitzer

Today is a good day, my friends. Today means at the 6 o'clock hour I shall enter a four day weekend. Full of what, you ask? So far on the agenda is:

-trying out a very new and deliciously enticing restaurant known as Cooper's Hawk and Winery;
-finishing the rest of season 5 and all of season 6 for Sons of Anarchy-which is phenom BTW;
-and enjoying the beautiful weather we are projected to experience, with extra SPF of course.

I like to call this agenda a little something known as living the American dream indeed.

Oh and I'll be toting around my newly obtained Kate Spades. Surprise 75% off sale, what? I CANNOT wait for the tote! I'll give you a hint until I can show the new ol'gal off #baconeggandcheeseplease :):)
