3 Things

I really love what is rapidly becoming a segment on ol' Ohgabetta here.  3 Things is a quick way to express any thoughts I've got.  I like expressions and I like thoughts so what a happy coupling.  Or is it happy tripling since its 3 things?  Solid question, Meggie.  Here we go!

Broccoli Brown Rice Cashew-
My impromptu makeshift lunch the other work day.  I sometimes experience reflux issues and when I do I stop, hammer time, and change it up.  This required a run to Publix to grab non trigger foods, read also: most tasty items.  Brown rice and broccoli help aid the process of settling reflux so with those purchases away I went back to work.  After preparing these two parts, I remembered I had dry roasted organic cashews in my desk drawer.  With a few mixed in, Wa-la.  We had what I will affectionately call Broccoli Brown Rice Cashew.  It was incredibly good and not bland or cardboard-esque which was my fear.  A redo is in order.

Awkward-
I might be one of few 30 year olds happy as all get out that MTV Awkward is back on.  I haven't watched the new episode yet but it sure is recorded and I sure will be watching ASAP.  Team Jatty forever!  Plus, Sadie and Tamara bffs???  The madness!! Give me all the teen dramedies!

Kim K Naked Selfie-
People are in madness over Kim's recent repost of an old nakey photo.  Why??  It's not your body, it's hers and she's comfortable and has every right to share that.  If there's anything we can all learn from Kimmie K is self confidence.

From what I know, the picture is from before she had her second baby and it's motivation/inspo for her as she works to get her body in different shape in the now.  Negative Nancy and Harriet Hater need to let it go.  Do you, be happy, and if you want to take it off, it's ok.  Stop fearing the body, bubble guppies.  Don't shame someone for having confidence.  If she, her husband, and her mama have no issue with her posting this, why the hell does anyone else?  Trust me, I'm not a poli sci major (thank God) but Kim Kardashian West is not going to lead to the destruction of America.  There are far worse contributors.

Let's meet again,
M

Simple blessings

I’m lying in bed, next to a snoring husband and my baby girl dogter sprawled out cozy as can be, while the rain falls down upon our roof. Gone are the days of spending a Saturday night downtown at a club, throwing beers back in a honky think, or galavanting around to anywhere with the lights on. And I’m not mad about it. Not even a little bit. There is tilt no place I’d rather be than with hunter, Roni and our comfy sweet little home happily netflixing and writing this here post. It’s a good feeling indeed. I count my blessings extra on nights like this and say a few additional prayers for love and comfort to continue on. I truly don’t ask for more than health, happiness, and love. Anything else is gravy. To simple blessings for all.

Blogtober Dayyyy 27! A Letter To Your Younger Self

First of all, this is my 203rd post! I slid right on by the day I hit 200, probably in a haze from writing so many days consistently like this. So I am now thrilled to announce I am moving right along and haven't tapped out. For that I have Blogtober 2014 to give credit to. I am so so so determined to meet my goal of writing all 31 days. Thank you again for linking this up Helene and Taylor !! Now, on to today's topic: A Letter To Your Younger Self Dear 22-27 year old Meggie, Hey, it's me, 29 year old you. Just wanted to check in and cover a couple things that I've learned to be true, so if you want to go ahead and use this insight sooner, have at it. So a few things still stand that I've mentioned to 17 year old you and as I recounted the ten things I've learned since high school . Please keep drinking water over anything else and avoid the hair bleach. But you know, being 29 and thinking back, the ages 22-27 were a huge chapter of your life a...

Blogtober day 24, One Beauty Product You Can't Live Without

Hands down, lip lip stuff. I've been wearing lipstick since I was approximately age three and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. Its the final step when applying my makeup and my favorite because it completes a look. I mix shades and kinds and styles all the time and the picture above shows what's in my makeup bag any given day. My name is Megan and I cannot live without an array of lipsticks. Hiii Megan. Oh and TGIF y'all! Until we meet agsin, M
