Olive You-A Review

For Christmas, Hunter's mom Sharon, or Shanizzle as I prefer to call her, and dad Randy (see also: Randizzle), gifted us this fab-fab-fabulous olive oil and herbs set. Girl. Let me tell you: it is worth indulging in something like this to gift to someone else or to your own household. This stuff is rich and robust, which to be honest, are not two adjectives in my usual rotation of vocabulary. It leaves a seriously savory impact on your palette.

Ours is from The Olive Pantry in Lake Mary and I already have it jotted down in my planner to pick a time we can go and try out some more.

We've used both the herbs and oil for sauteing vegetables, bruscetta, eggs, and even in chili. Obviously, I find that the flavors compliment a million dishes, and I really can't say that about every olive oil I've ever tried. I suggest for my local Orlando/Lake Mary friends that you pick some up. If you're not local, check this here, and order it!

Until we meet again,
M

What makes me happy...Blogtober Day 19

What a timely topic to write about, seeing as its Sunday, and I LOVE Sundays! They make me very happy. Lots of things make me happy though. I am so thankful to say that! So in no particular order, allow me to kick back this beautiful Sunday and let some pictures tell you more about what makes me happy: The pawple who are always waiting and happy when you get home: Well, sometimes... This cat: Amazing company to go through life with: Food Trucks: #TBT: Laughing like this: Seeing the world through the eyes of the littlest people: Fashion: Kate Spade in particular: Family, with a highlighted focus on our generation: I feel very fortunate for what and who makes me happy. Tell me, what makes you happiest in all the land? Until we meet again, M

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Face it: Fewer things feel as good as a really great face mask. I love charcoal in particular lately and always feel refreshed and restored and ready to ‘face’ another day. See w

Yessssss Halloween! It is my favorite, without a doubt, hands down!! I love love love Halloween more than any other holiday. The spookiness, the creative costumes, and the overall happy and exciting presence it brings with it each passing year. So because of this intense love, I have manyyyyy happy, favorite Halloween memories and the pictures to prove this: Oh, the days of downtown Whorelando on Halloween y'all: Remember approximately 2006-2008ish, when Bret Michaels was attempting " to find love " over, and over again ? We loved that hot mess express so Hunter was him and I of course was his rock of love: I don't want to brag, but with my boos from work, we were part of Bro White and the Seven Dwarfs last year in our company's contest and we won! Then that night a fabulous scarecrow and her goblin guy... Throwing back the Halloween love full force. Hey girl!: I love this holiday!!!!!! As for one specific memory, I do recall going trick
