People Style Watch is my fave and my newest one arrived today. Superrr excited right now. Jennifer Lawrence is on the cover, 557 guilt free finds are in between the pages and spring is here, my friends. Ahhh, inhale deep. Smell that? Pastels and brights and new pops of style is in the air.

My weekend otherwise...

1. went for cruise to la playa. put my toes in the ocean, check. enjoyed fresh, blackened mahi, deliciously check. happy to be home, check. check.

2. hung out with a bad dog with demon eyes who eats kleenex. bad, pretty, beast girl

3. camera all set up ready to go

4. checked out the kiddie toys. never know what the nephew babies might like. umm baby chainsaw. interesting. dexter should advertise with harrison.

5. no, i didn't buy this! no, i didn't. maybe.

6. stationary/office goodies make my heart sing like canary.

7. speaking of canaries, so does the bub.bubsy birds 'round my neck.

8. personal fave, anytime. but especially on a weekend there is something to a cup o'joe and some essie.

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Reset on a Weekend

One of my favorite things in the world is laying in bed on a weekend night watching Netflix movies while my Hunter and my Ro nap next to me and I scroll Instagram home design and wellness accounts as well. This is particularly enjoyable after an extra long week, I might add. I feel calm and giddy alike throughout this downtime. I am able to relax and unwind, often taking mindfulness breaks and enjoying a komboocha or lemon water simultaneously. It couldn’t be any more basic. This recharge makes me naturally happy creating reflection and gratefulness for everything in my life. I’m a hard worker with determination and I like to reach goals and make new ones so I feel like I’m on more than I’m not. I need to reset like this because it reiterates what it’s about most at the end of the day; health, happiness, and an attitude of gratitude. What is your approach to bring it all back to center? mk
