I am so excited to begin a new year!

I don't have drastic plans or crazy intentions, I'm just so eager to see what another chapter brings! 2016 was in short a very, very good year.   The biggest thing this year will be marked in memory for is our business.   Not only did I make the jump to working full time for mine and Hunter's business, but we have grown in all categories we use to measure our development.   I am thrilled to wake up each morning and get to work; I don't ever get the Sunday night sads because tomorrow is Monday and wahhh I have to go back to an unfulfilling or unhappy work situation.   That, my friends, is absolutely nothing to snarl at fo sho! On a personal note, my dad battled cancer twice and kicked its ass twice in 2016.   For that, I am happy to move forward to a new year.   No one wants their parent to struggle or get sick and I am thankful every day for healing and forward movement in this wild and beautiful life we get to live. For 2017, I suppos...

2016 Done, 2017 Ahead

Is 2016 really almost over?   Howwwwww? I mean really, we all are guilty of saying it every year: "is the year already over?"   "Where did this year go?"   "December?" Despite my dismay at the closure of another year, I'm feeling pretty good with how 2016 will go down in the books.   As you may recall if you've read around these parts before, I made big career moves, and that's just maybe the biggest thing I could have done for my year.   And I'm proud to report I still do not regret it one bit. My hope for 2017 is to continue on the same professional path only with growth and more excitement.   I'm interested in one more ambition of sorts and can't wait to follow up on it, both in real life and here in this space. Have any final thoughts on 2016 or pending ideas for 2017?

It's 11:15pm, do you know where your blog post is??

Things have been busy.  I am working on a new project at my day job which is fresh and keeps me moving.  Before I know it the time is up and the day is done.  I like that.  The New Year has us motivated for our business and we are unfolding new layers of promotion for it while honing in on our current client campaigns with excitement.  I'm eager for it anew and it feels so right.  Like most people with babies say, I feel like I can't imagine our lives without or before our baby business was in it. I think I want to host this weekend.  I feel like cooking up some goodness by way of my crockpot and dolling up an appetizer or two.  Oh and not now, because quite honestly my phone is in the other room and well, I am not, I will be posting about a Baked Crab Rangoon recipe I used on New Year's Eve.  I took blog pics and all.  I'll say this: it clearly DID NOT disappoint and I feel it only my duty to share and pass it on. Tomorrow is the ca...

Anxiety, you motha shut yo'mouth!

I haven't been here in a little bit.  I'm not happy about that.  To be honest, I've just been overwhelmed.  From the holidays yes, like most people, but also with life.  By no means is it of serious nature, but I have found myself struggling with anxiety like no other.  Apparently, I manifest stress and angst physically more than I ever have and the outcome is lack of motivation for creative expression.  A bit backwards, no?  Creative expression is linked to numerous studies/reports proving that it helps eliminate anxiety. For some reason, I have chosen to worry about anything I can get my mind hands on the last few months more than ever.  Health, ambitions, how life plays out-all of it worries me.  I've let my mind become overtaken being a worry rat versus putting that energy towards positive output.  Mind you, I've been blessed with good health and happy check ups, my professional ambitions are at all new heights, and when I push aw...

Happy New Year's Eve eve!

With another year pretty much behind us, and the renewal of my domain name for this here space on the interwbez, I am feeling all kinds of reflective. For starters, I am incredibly baffled how yet another year has come and gone so quickly. Yes, it's the same amount of time as all previous years, minus leap years, but 2014 feels like a blur. I definitely grew this year in terms of being realistic. I am a dreamer, and I long for dreams to come true. What I usually struggle with though, is the time leading up to making a dream come true. I am impatient and hasty at times, while contemplative and indecisive too. I hope to re-purpose these qualities into more productive versions of themselves during the next year. I am quite excited for 2015. I've spent time reflecting and evaluating what worked and what didn't this past year, to prepare for the new. And I believe if you can identify your own key components, you are destined for goodness. Now among so many things th...

My girl Jordie

Jordan Lynn, You are 23 years old today and that is so mind blowing. Six years of age are between us, and you were one of my first best friends, my real life baby doll, and my partner in crime early on. You've always been you and I love that. Your spirit is full and creative and it's contagious. I love you and I'm proud of you every.single.day. I wish you love and all the goodness you can stand this 23rd year of life. You're a rock star, my girl. Happiest birthday to you! *older pics courtesy of aunt lisa Muah!!! Til we meet again, Meggie
