I feel you, Alexander

This is undeniably one of my absolute favorites books from childhood.   And after the month of December during adulthood. Is anyone else dragging these first few days back to real life after all the holiday fun?   All the excitement and chaos is done and it's back to hustling and remembering to set alarms and meal prep?   Don't get me wrong, I love routine as much as the next OCD gal, but today and yesterday I am fumbling.   It's like Murphy's Law I swear. I need to get a good, solid night of sleep.   I don't sleep poorly luckily, but I feel I am not sleeping enough.   I'm terrible at resting extra and even worse during this time of year.   I'll get it together one of these days and realize I do better when well rested.   In fact, I think that's where I'm headed. Night love bugs.

Lazy Sunday

This girl. She appreciates lazy any day. She can always get nestled up real good, any minute of any hour. She loves to sleep with us, with Pepper, and has her own little dog fun sized spots all over the house that are hers and hers alone. My point here is that Roni knows how to take a break from the hustle of her life. It's tiring keeping the throw pillows warm and Pepper on her toes after all. It's refreshing to see a gal who knows what's good. Until we meet again, M

Hustle Bustle

via Damnnnnn. That's a fact in fact. Seriously, no truer a statement has hit me like this one in quite some time. I've been focused on being zen lately and while it's good, I do well with hustle. When I have to balance a few plates, wear a few hats, I usually kick ass at it. I have so many visions and creative expressions to make, I very much need to give my ambitions a push to the tush. I've been neglecting my creative self and now I'm yearning for it. I've been on an indefinite reprieve and I needdddd to get up and at 'em again. I must give respect to being a bit more zen. And I realize more than ever balance is pivotal. It's not good to swarm yourself all day with too much of anything; work and school in particular. It's important that I make time for as much calm as chaos. Anyhow, random thoughts. Ones that feel good. Hustle up and out peeps. Until we meet again, M
