Well, looky looky who we have here

I have been absent for a bit, no? I swear it wasn't on purpose. Life has got me moving in several directions and I am so thrilled and thankful! Things have been exciting and busy and keeping me running with every ounce of my being. I love and thrive for it! So in no particular order I have been... In a wedding and taking part in all the wonderful coinciding events leading up to a wedding. Seriously, my good friend got married and it was an AMAZING time from the start of planning all the way through the big day!! I'm sad it's over! But I'll be back to thoroughly blog about that in a day or two; Working on an incredibly and stupendously fabulous special assignment at work; Cooking a whole lot at home-thus cleaning up after working long, happily tiresome days; Baking with my girlfran business partners; Beginning the second phase of the Leadership Academy my company has; Loving my Hunter Bear and of course the Pepper-Roni, even if they were b...

Weekending

Last week was divine chaos. I'm working my normal FT work schedule; working on two personal business ventures; taking a social media certification program; and working on an extra project for a work event that's happening in March. It's fun and rewarding and I love every second of it. I just have to jot down times to come up for air. On Saturday we attended a friend's business anniversary party. His shop celebrated one year and some change in existence and I can't say enough how empowering it is to know people who are actively living out dreams, who are getting up every day to get after it all over again. Hunter and I took in the beautiful Florida winter weather for brunch outside as well. Below is a Kobe Beef burger with a'egg atop and Bang Bang Shrimp Benedict with asparagus. Glitter and gold and everything I dream of basically. I saw this meme a few weeks ago and I have not stopped laughing. What can I say, I'm easy to humor. I positively...

Anything is possible with sunshine and a little pink -Lilly Pulitzer

Today is a good day, my friends. Today means at the 6 o'clock hour I shall enter a four day weekend. Full of what, you ask? So far on the agenda is: -trying out a very new and deliciously enticing restaurant known as Cooper's Hawk and Winery; -finishing the rest of season 5 and all of season 6 for Sons of Anarchy-which is phenom BTW; -and enjoying the beautiful weather we are projected to experience, with extra SPF of course. I like to call this agenda a little something known as living the American dream indeed. Oh and I'll be toting around my newly obtained Kate Spades. Surprise 75% off sale, what? I CANNOT wait for the tote! I'll give you a hint until I can show the new ol'gal off #baconeggandcheeseplease :):) Any how, I have to go shopping now ( Love a good Pretty Woman reference) get to finishing my day so the fun can begin. Hope everyone has a safe, fun, relaxing good time. Or go wild and have to retrace events to determine how good it reall...

Dream on Dreamer

Reporting live from my life, Megan Hyde, MA, here. Is it weird that I am entirely so excited that I can add the "MA" after my name now? Yes, yes it is. I graduated on Friday and much to my happiness, I am the Salutatorian of my class. As I stood in line waiting to hear my name called to climb the stairs and make my way across the stage, I started to shake a smidgen and when I heard "Ladies and gentlemen, the Salutatorian of the New Media Journalism class..." Well, my heart soared and my legs were strong, no longer shaky. Aside from the MA after me name, I am excited for new projects, new goals, and books! My god man, the leisure reading books! I bought Orange is the New Black and perhaps it's the freedom to read as long as I want without having to stop and go do homework but I read the first few chapters so intently. Great story so far and I'm excited to get back to it...for.as.long.as.I.want! Ahahahaha so this is how the other half lives? ...
