Sweet Treat

Oh Kate Spade 75% off sale, you'll always have my heart You smell that?  Lemons.  Summer.  Sea salt.  Pepper needs a bath.  No?  Just me and my sense of smell that is returning party people!  I couldn't be happier to smell all the smells and the true transition to sweet, sweet summah times that is upon us. Summer officially kicks off June 21st.  Now that particular weekend we are actually going to be in Chicago multi-celebrating Hunter's college graduation, his 30th birthday, and the start of summer.  We will hopefully be full of laughter from comedy shows, sunkissed from galavanting and trekking every which way, and will be deciding on the next type of deep dish pizza we plan to indulge in. We haven't had a vacay like this in a few...

Currently: Being a Fashion Blogger

Coming to you late this evening but by God I am here! I am determined not to miss my personal goal to not only post daily to Insta during The Daily Tay's Instagram Challenge , but also to blog daily. It may be close but it ain't midnight! Anyhow, today's prompt is #Currently. As I was scrolling my Insta feed this morning, I found that my very favorite boutique Francescas's posted an #OOTD challenge . As luck would have it, or really not luck at all but rather a shopping problem, I was currently wearing a ring, a bracelet, necklace, dress, and earrings all from my beloved Franny's . All also from entirely different shopping adventures too. #accessoriesaddiction The challenge set forth from Franny's said to post a pic of you showing off your creativity in your Francescas's best. So I give you how I typically dress all day every day: I felt mildly goofy but also giddy. I love fashion and it wasn't all bad posing randomly and having my go...

'If I can have any impact, I want women to feel good about themselves and have fun with fashion' - Michelle Obama

Some #ootd's I'm playing with for the week ahead. Getting dressed is most definitely my favorite time of day. Until we meet again, M

"Fancy was my name" -Reba McEntire

TGIF y'all! For realz. It has been an exhaustively good week. Work, work, working a lot and live, live, living as much in between. Let's do some favorites for a pre-weekend win and the fact that I made it here 3 times this week. Or was it last? Dammit, I knew I wasn't doing as good as I thought around these parts! Favorite fashion look: Love the new Juicy line for Kohl's . It is fab-fab-friendly! Favorite accessories moment: Favorite decor spotlight: Munterhegans are celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas strong early on. Favorite recent life event: going to see my kid sister march with her award winning high school band. Even if I did jump out of the car as the band was marching across the street to the football stadium with arms flailing. And I may or may not have started squeal-screaming her name, even though she isn't supposed to break formation. She didn't for the record, because she is good at what she does, but she did whisper to he...

Blogtober Day 17! I'm an expert at...

I have always had quirky style and have adored accessorizing said quirky style since, oh, say, birth. It's just been my thing. See? 1991: I mean, just look at my pink only inspired accessories that I dug out for a bachelorette party: It ain't right, some may say. It's perfect, is what I hear. While I am not an expert at much, I am an expert at accessorizing my unique style and for that I am more than content: What can I say? I keep the lights on at certain establishments while embellishing...well, myself. Happy Stylin'! Until we meet again, M

Blogtober Day 16! Fall Fashion

I positively adore fall fashion. Here in the good ol'sunshine state, there is a style all our own going on in the cooler months; notice how I didn't say colder weather. However, today is certainly the day to talk fall fashion, because we have ourselves a fabulous chilly day upon us! Hallelujah y'all! My favorite Florida fall looks involve transitional pieces from spring and summer. For example, I took my favorite investment piece from this past spring, a black maxi dress, and married it with another fave: scarves. The rest for me in fall fashion, well all year long if I'm being honest , lies in accessorizing. I love colors any season, and for fall I usually keep it transitional as well, while embracing the new season. My trick is to factor in bright summery shades, like the orange flower and light teal-ish scarf, while incorporating deeper jewel tones, as seen with both my green stoned earrings and the gold with onyx pair. I love fashion all year long...

OOTD-Vantage Point

As I was rushing out the door over last weekend, I glanced down to catch a glimpse of my life. Dog toys; big tote for errand running; a giant cockatoo cocktail ring (Sir Sparkleton Elton Roberts, if we're being introductory); and some polka dots. Loves it. Til we meet again, M

My dear, If at first you don't succeed, throw on another accessory & try, try again

Off to try, try again! Til we meet again, M

“Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life.” –Bill Cunningham

I love this bear I saw one morning awaiting my cup'o'joe at Starbizzy. Precious does not begin to cover it. Fashion is one of my absolute favorite things in life and I enjoy all opportunities to participate with it. Shows, viewings, up front, backstage, you name it and I'm there. Fashion is a chance to express yourself in all kinds of ways. You can keep things at center, meaning you are who you are personally and personality wise, but you can explore new physical you's by partaking in fashion choices. I absolutely loved this outfit I assembled together last week. Bright, cozy, and it allowed the ability to factor in extra fun accessories. Wearing this made my day that much brighter in other aspects too. Even when life moments happen and you can't avoid doing certain things, aka being an adult basically, at least you can feel happy because you are in fact wearing a rainbow. See? Perspective. Glass way full of color, rising over the top. Forget that h...

In Tuesday We Trust It's Almost Friday

Y'all. I cannot even begin to say how much I am ready for fall. I believe it hit me halfway through my most recent edition of People Style Watch... Got me thinking about what I am ready for: animal print; there is nothing like some leopard in the heart of October to get you feeling giddy. Scarves, sweaters, maybe a purse, he possibilities are endless! I am also on the hunt currently for new bright, classy, sexy red nail polish and lip color. The sooner I find them the better. I am ready to run away and join the annual, big red tented circus folks! And boots. Now every year, many a lady can say there is the god forsaken/god loving boot hunt. It's like I'm Bootylocks and I can't find ones that are jussstt right so I search and I search and then bam! I find some boots made for walking. Or propping up on a coffee table somewhere to admire them. Honestly, is this not a fun activity for anyone else? No? Hmm, okay then. I don't have a pre-req in mind f...

"When accessorizing always take off one item before walking out the door..."

Sikeeeeee......Whoever said this? Not me! My name is Megan and I DO NOT support this message. I am not the person to ask about subtle dressing. I love a little bit too much gaudy fabness and I have never regretted wearing too many accessories. If it's wrong, I don't want to be right. Shall we proceed? Love, love, love these earrings. And the ring. And the bracelet. Hence, not a one is coming off before I leave the house! Can I get a fashion enthusiast amen??? Amennnnnnn.
