To those who gave and for those who keep on giving

Greetings from Memorial weekend. A little sunshine, some BBQ, movie time, and the most obvious activity to acknowledge: celebrating heroes who made this holiday possible. A tremendous holiday indeed and a time to reflect on the stories you've heard or the moments you've lived about serving the country you very much love is what it's all about.

A dear friend of mine served with the Marines and proudly so. Not only am I proud of her too but thankful she was courageous enough to answer her call of duty. It's rare to find good friends with great qualities so when you find one with a sense of selflessness you appreciate that characteristic. My friend served her time and has gone on to new adventures, such as mommy-hood and education, and I'm most sure she offers the same dedication to each moment in her life now as she did in her military hours. As they say, Semper Fidelis dear friend.

To all those who made this day a day worthy of acknowledgment, thank you.

This cat: Amazing company to go through life with: Food Trucks: #TBT: Laughing like this: Seeing the world through the eyes of the littlest people: Fashion: Kate Spade in particular: Family, with a highlighted focus on our generation: I feel very fortunate for what and who makes me happy. Tell me, what makes you happiest in all the land? Until we meet again, M

How I Holiday Decor

I love some holiday decor.  It's fun to mix and match consistent pieces for it and and exciting to switch out the ones that have their set calendar time.  Like my pumpkins for example.  I have a set of them that are used for spooky purposes first, then for grateful hearts right after. Let the record show exhibits ... A and A.5: Halloween goodness           Turkey Day decor   Also, let the record show further exhibits of love for Halloween decorating: B: Witch, please C: Even the tissues have monsters on them Oh and D:   Roni hates us, Pepper giggles, we take far too many pictures of this.   If you couldn't tell, my favorite time of year to decorate is for Halloween.  #givemeallthegoblins   I'm pumped to further enjoy this holiday season with high levels of gratefulness and plan to focus on love and happiness more than anything.  Happy beginning of the end of year holiday season and decorating to you and yours!   Until we me

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Face it: Fewer things feel as good as a really great face mask. I love charcoal in particular lately and always feel refreshed and restored and ready to ‘face’ another day. See w
